On receiving a pre-alert message from a pre-hospital provider, a trauma team should be activated if any of the following criteria are met:

□ penetrating injury to neck / chest | ||||

□ evidence of spinal cord injury | ||||
□ suspected open / depressed skull fracture | ||||
E | □ more than 1 proximal long bone fracture | |||
□ crushed, degloved, mangled or amputated limb |
